The Global Financial Crisis resulted in the re-engineering of many major financial institutions. One of our clients lost over 70% of their share value and was required to completely overhaul their governance practices across the globe by the UK regulator. They were listed in various jurisdictions, including the New York, London and Johannesburg stock exchanges.

Our experience in implementing a new group operating model globally for our client gave us significant insights into the many aspects of governance that were a complete blind-side to the board and governing bodies in the many territories they operated in around the globe.

As a result of this, and many other transformation initiatives for our clients over the years, today we have a proven framework and set of practices and standards that are based on the wisdom we have acquired from this work over the years - what we call our Boardroom Governance Brains Trust.
